Gaspésien-Montrealer hybrid and multi-instrumentalist music lover, La Faune is an emerging French-speaking producer-director. He tells us with a bit of humor about everyday life and his love for people in his own musical jungle with varied influences.

Between modern indie rock, ambient electronics, sought-after samplings and sensitive folk song, La Faune manages to craft a colossal work, as rich as it is coherent.

 

He returns this year with two micro-albums: Mourir au Canada I and II. The first released last April and the second to be released next fall.

 

His new show premiered at the Francofolies de Montréal in 2022 and is touring Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick this year. After being a semi-finalist at the Francouvertes 2020 and winning several prizes at the Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée 2021, La Faune is now flying on its own wave.

 

When not busy with his project, La Faune - whose real name is Jérémie Essiambre - accompanies multiple artists on stage and in the studio as a multi-instrumentalist and producer, including Elisapie, Anachnid, Laura Niquay, thais, Kanen, Lucill, Cosmophone…
